About the car: Dacia Logan II (L52), saloon
The second-generation Dacia Logan, code L52 (K52 for the estate), was presented at the Paris Motor Show in 2012 and built between 2012 and 2020 on the Dacia M0 platform, as a 4-door saloon and an estate. It has the same front end as the Sandero II, and the facelift presented in Paris in 2016 brought LED daytime running lights, a new grille and slightly redesigned bumpers.
The Logan II saloon has no roof rails, so a roof box cannot be attached directly to the car: it needs roof bars with feet on the roof, fixed to the door frames. The weight of the box and of the luggage presses on these bars, so their maximum load decides how much you can load.
What we fitted on this Logan
The Menabo Marathon Dark 400 roof box is made of matt black ABS plastic, has 400 litres and a maximum load of 50 kg. It locks with an anti-theft lock and opens on one side.
The pack contains two fittings: a 20 mm T-bolt fitting, for bars with a T-track, and a 60 mm U-bolt fitting, which grips the bar on the outside. An 80 mm U-bolt fitting is also available as an option, with the code 000065000000. The product page lists compatibility with many Menabo bars (Tema, Delta, Omega and others), K39, Thule, Yakima and Mont Blanc.

Technical details and what to watch for
- Menabo Marathon Dark 400: volume 400 litres, own weight 13.2 kg, maximum load 50 kg.
- Calculation: the weight of the box is subtracted from the maximum load of the bars. On a set of 50 kg bars, after the 13.2 kg of the box, 36.8 kg remain for luggage.
- You will find the permitted roof load of the Logan II in the car's manual; respect it together with the limit of the bars and of the box.
