About the car: Dacia Duster II (HM), 2017-2021
The Dacia Duster II carries the internal code HM and was presented at the Frankfurt motor show in September 2017. It was built for Europe between 2017 and 2024, on the same B0 platform as the first generation. The facelifted version was presented on 22 June 2021, with a new lighting signature at the front and rear, and the car in this fitting is the pre-facelift version.
On the roof, the Duster II has raised factory roof rails, and the roof bars attach to them. This matters for a long box like the Marathon 460: the roof bars can be positioned along the roof rails so that the box sits centred and the tailgate opens freely. What we fitted on this Duster II
The product fitted is the Menabo Marathon Dark 460 roof box, an ABS plastic roof box in matt black, with a volume of 460 litres. It is almost 2 metres long and about 36 cm high, and it takes bags, trolley cases and other luggage for trips to the mountains or the sea. It opens on one side only, the right.
For fitting, the pack includes two systems: the 60 mm U-bolt fitting and the 20 mm T-track fitting. Optionally, there is also the 80 mm U-bolt fitting. The product sheet lists compatibility with Menabo Brio, Delta, Tiger, Omega and Tema bars, K39, Thule and Yakima bars, and other brands. The roof box also has a lock.
